Our Work in Pictures

DStv Installation & Repair Photos β€” Pretoria & Centurion

Real satellite dish installations, estate roof mounts, Explora Ultra decoder setups, Extra View links and storm-damage repairs completed by Vision Space technicians. We're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week β€” including public holidays.

What a Vision Space installation looks like

A DStv installation is easy to do quickly and badly. A dish screwed to a loose roof tile, a cable stapled across a wall and a decoder that shows picture on a clear day will pass a five-minute handover β€” and then fail on the first Highveld thunderstorm. The photographs on this page show the opposite approach: mounts fixed into solid structure, penetrations sealed, coax clipped in straight runs, and every dish peaked on a signal meter rather than by eye.

Most of this work is in Pretoria and Centurion homes, estates and complexes, where the practical problems repeat: trees and new double-storeys blocking line of sight in Montana, Faerie Glen and Moreleta Park; estate rules on dish visibility in Midstream, Southdowns, Silver Lakes and Copperleaf; and perished cable and water-damaged LNBs in older Lyttelton, Valhalla, Villieria and Queenswood houses. Each of those needs a different mounting decision, and that decision is what determines whether the picture is still perfect in three years.

Because we run a 24-hour service, a lot of this is done outside normal hours β€” a dish knocked over by a storm at 21:00, a decoder that died the night before a big match, a guesthouse that needs every room live before check-in. Call any time, day or night, and a technician can be dispatched.

Rooftop dish installation & alignment

A full satellite dish installation on a corrugated roof β€” bracket bolted and sealed, LNB fitted, cable clipped and the dish peaked on a signal meter before the decoder is even switched on.

Ultra HD dish on a flat estate roof

Estate work in a security complex: dish kept low and out of street view, weighted flat-roof mount, weather-sealed penetration and neat white coax routed down to the wall plate.

Wall-mounted dish with clear line of sight

Where trees or a second storey block the satellite, we wall-mount high on the gable so the line of sight stays clear year-round β€” no more picture loss the moment it clouds over.

The standard behind every photo

Every job β€” a single dish realignment or a six-point commercial satellite installation β€” follows the same checklist before we hand over.

Dish mount

Bolted into solid structure, sealed against water, never simply screwed into a loose tile.

Line of sight

Position chosen so trees, walls and new double-storeys can't block the satellite later.

Signal peaking

Dish peaked on a meter for strength, quality and BER β€” not by eye or by menu bars.

Cabling

Quality coax, correctly crimped F-connectors, clipped straight lines, trunking where visible.

Wall plates

Proper outlets at each TV point instead of loose cable hanging behind the television.

Test & tidy

Every channel and every decoder tested, packaging and offcuts removed before we leave.

Photo gallery questions

Are these your own installations?

Yes β€” these are jobs completed by Vision Space technicians, mostly in Pretoria and Centurion suburbs and estates. More recent work is posted regularly on our Facebook page.

Can you match an installation like this at my house?

Almost always. Send a photo of your roof, dish position or the fault on WhatsApp and we'll tell you what's needed and what it costs before we come out.

Do you really work 24 hours?

Yes. We take calls and bookings 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays, and run after-hours emergency call-outs for no-signal faults and storm damage.

Do you photograph my installation?

Only with your permission, and never showing your house number, gate code or anything identifying. Just say no and we won't.
